Before I’ve even had a chance to plan my Thanksgiving menu, the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) has already predicted what fitness trends will be hot in 2011. While a lot of things on the list are a continuation of past trends — think boot camps and fitness tech — there are a few surprising items on the list.

Those of you already working with us will see some familiar names because we already are doing most of these “trends”, ok Zumba didn’t make the cut at RetroFIT.

The buddy systems and small groups training have been a staple at RetroFIT for the past 15 yrs. TRX is a hot piece of equipment and has been a part of our training program since it’s inception several years ago.  Fraser Quelch , the director of training and development for Fitness Anywhere® and the creator of the TRX training program had given me a prototype of an original TRX.

It doesn’t stop there! We are so on board at RF and believe so strongly in the youth obesity and de conditioning that house the first youth fitness franchise in Denver, Athletic Revolution Denver.

We also are in agreement when it comes to elevating our trainers professionalism through education which is why our trainers are certified through PTA Global(

PTA Global is a collaboration of the top industry leaders in the world which is what makes it “THE”  certification to be proud of.The real missing fitness trend of 2011 which is taking Europe by storm is ViPR Training ( . And yes, RetroFIT has classes using the ViPR.

RetroFIT has ALREADY got it going on with the hot trends for 2011! Boot camp-style workouts, TRX Suspension Training and Interval Training have been taking place at RetroFit for years! I always appreciate the small-group workouts that provide more attention and personalize my fitness training. It’s the built-in buddy system! Youth-based fitness along with elevated professionalism have forever been fitness trends at RetroFIT! Thanks Billy for being way ahead of the times! You ROCK!
